What data the app accesses

With your permission, SimpleSteps Pedometer reads the following from Apple Health:

• Step count
• Walking and running distance

This data is read on your device, displayed inside the app, and never leaves your iPhone.

What we do not collect

SimpleSteps Pedometer does not collect personal information, location data, device identifiers, usage analytics, crash reports, or advertising identifiers. There are no user accounts and no sign-in.

Servers and third parties

SimpleSteps Pedometer has no backend servers. The app does not make any network requests. It does not contain third-party SDKs, analytics tools, advertising networks, or tracking frameworks.

HealthKit

SimpleSteps Pedometer uses Apple's HealthKit framework to read step and distance data. Apple's HealthKit privacy policies apply to how this data is stored on your device. SimpleSteps Pedometer never writes data to HealthKit and never shares HealthKit data with any third party.

Children's privacy

SimpleSteps Pedometer does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

This website

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare collects standard server-side request metadata (IP address, user agent, country) to operate the network and protect against abuse — see Cloudflare's privacy policy.

The website uses Google Analytics to measure aggregate visitor traffic (page views, country, device type). Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and processes a truncated, anonymized form of your IP address. See Google's privacy policy for details, or use your browser's tracking protection or an ad blocker to opt out.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will appear on this page with a new "last updated" date. Because the app collects no data, meaningful changes are unlikely.
